I visited NYC in September of 2000, and had a great time
wandering around various neighborhoods on foot.
I was walking through SoHo with a friend.
We heard singing ahead. Around the corner,
we found a group of guys singing a cappella on a corner,
doing fine versions of tasty old Motown tunes.

Later I was walking on the upper West Side. The light rain gave a sheen to everything.
Even on that rainy night, there were bikes everywhere.
What freedom - to wander the city by bike!
